Parents, start your engines!

Click here for the Parents' Back to School schedule

Mark your calendars: Back to School on August 25th is for parents, too!

While the kids go through their first day schedule, the parents will hear from the Heads of School, pick up car tags and directories, meet class reps and learn how to get plugged into life on the Hill. It's a short day, so park--don't drop!--and join your fellow parents as we get revved up for a new school year. Click here for the full schedule.

If you need to catch up on registration, placement tests, orientation, etc., click here. To get up to speed on the Parents' Association's plans for 2008-09, click here for a digital version of the snail mail packet sent to parents mid-July.

Support SSES with your Dues & Donations

New tents for Big Bend in 2009! PA dues and donations are a significant source of parent support of our school. In addition to the $50 annual dues, parent donations allow the PA to fund extra projects and wish lists for St. Stephen’s students, faculty and staff. In 2007-08, the PA gave $100,000+ in direct support unrelated to fundraisers. Help us budget for the same level of support this year by paying your dues now, and please consider making an additional donation. Click here for more information.

Join the debate!

Spartan Debaters Argue the Question“The United States federal government should substantially increase alternative energy incentives in the United States.” Agree or disagree? This is the 2008-09 national high school policy debate topic, and the St. Stephen’s debate team—open to any US student, regardless of experience—will research and debate it. The school has hired Kirk Evans, who has more than 10 years of experience, to coach the team. Kirk has organized a pre-season debate camp August 18-22 for all Austin-area students who are interested in developing their research and debate skills. Click here for the camp flyer and see the debate webpage to learn more about past Spartan debate successes.
